Deficiencies are defined as a lack of something that is needed : the state of not having enough of something necessary.

“for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy Pharmakeia were all nations deceived.” – Revelation 18:23

Vitamin D: Discovery

1645: Rickets disease was first described by Dr. Daniel Whistler.
1930s: Chemical structure was discovered at the University of Gottingen in Germany, now known to actually be a steroid hormone. 1936: Vitamin D3 was discovered.
1971: Nixon signs the National Cancer Act.
1971: Journal of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) publishes “Sunlight exposure and risk of developing cutaneous and oral squamous cell carcinomas in white cats,” which begins a cascade of research linking “Sun Exposure” to Cancer.
Dorn, C. Richard, D. O. N. Taylor, and Robert Schneider. ( “Sunlight exposure and risk of developing cutaneous and oral squamous cell carcinomas in white cats.” Journal of the National Cancer Institute 46.5 (1971): 1073-1078.)

Vitamin D and the companies that Profit from advising you to stay deficient.

The current budget of the American Cancer Society (ACS) is 380 MILLION while its cash reserve approaches 1 BILLION, making it the wealthiest non-profit organization in the world. : “Avoid direct exposure to the sun between 10am and 4pm…Slop on sunscreen…reapply every 2 hours…even on hazy or overcast days.”

Dr. Perry on the Dr. Oz Show stated, “9 of the 15 chemical sunscreens are considered endocrine disruptors. Those are chemicals that interfere with the normal function of hormones. The hormones most commonly disturbed are estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and THYROID.”

Ask yourself:

  • Are you willing to slop on something that can hinder your hormone function?
  • Why would you apply it multiple times a day?

How Vitamin D WorksHow Vitamin D Works

7-dehydroCHOLESTEROL + UVB Sunlight Pre-vitamin D3 in skin cells + Body Heat Vitamin D3 (same as supplement form) flow from the Bloodstream to the Liver 25-hydroxy vitamin D Bloodstream to the Kidneys 1, 25 dihydroxy  = vitamin D Circulates to binding receptors in nucleus of cells influencing gene expression in over 3,000 identified genes…so far.

Research on Vitamin D in over 200 epidemiological studies and 2,500 laboratory studies have linked Vitamin D deficiency to CANCER, yet the National Cancer Institute does not recommend Vitamin D as a cancer treatment. – Dr. Mercola.

In 2010 the Institute of Medicine special committee set 600IU per day as the recommended daily allowance. Most experts agree 4,000-8,000IU is necessary while even the Institute of Medicine concludes that taking 10,000IU per day “poses no risk”.

The “risk of calcification” used in the research actually comes from a combined Vitamin K2 deficiency. “Supplementing with Vitamin D3 has the potential to reduce cancer deaths in America by 75%” – Annals of Epidemiology 2009

Vitamin D: Testing

Testing is performed two different ways, typically. The “Gold Standard” test used in most clinical research is DiaSorin Immunoassay. ZRT Labs calibrates test results of their low cost bloodspot test to be equivalent to DiaSorin published values making it possibly the best options today according to Dr. Mercola and others.
